Pendleton Place is so grateful to benefit from a wonderful collaboration between Greenville Women Giving, DPR Construction, and McMillan Pazdan Smith. Each of them generously contributed to our Smith House Bathroom renovations this past fall for the teenage girls who call Pendleton Place home. This wouldn’t have been possible without their help!
We would like to say thank you to ALL of the mentors from Fostering Great Ideas who wrap their love and support around the teenage girls who reside in our Smith House foster care program. Each one is a superstar making an immeasurable difference in the lives of our kids!
We recently partnered with The Rose Model for Healthy Relationships to implement a curriculum for our teen residents, which integrates dance and movement into a trauma-informed, research-based and sex-positive program to heal, empower, and ignite their lives and dreams. Our efforts to educate and empower teens living in foster care were nationally recognized by The Patty Brisben Foundation for Women’s Sexual Health, who selected Pendleton Place as a grant recipient. We are excited that this grant will allow us to continue partnering with the Rose Model to expand the program for our girls!
